Match-Ranker is a versatile application that facilitates personalized ranking of songs through head-to-head matchups. The app generates pairings of songs from a user-defined playlist or media library, allowing users to select the preferred track in each comparison. This process dynamically adjusts each song's rating score based on the outcomes, refining the overall ranking as more matches are completed.

Each user's collection effectively becomes their own universe of songs, with individual rating scores that evolve according to their voting choices. These ratings are entirely personal; the selections made within one user's profile do not influence the ratings or rankings of other users’ collections. Consequently, a song might hold a high rating for one user and a low rating for another, reflecting personal preferences rather than universal consensus.

Match-Ranker automatically creates matchups between songs in a user’s collection. For each pairing, the user determines which song wins, prompting an update to their ratings—winners gain points, and losers lose points—enabling a holistic and progressively accurate ranking system. This method offers a guided means to explore and refine one’s musical preferences over time.

Importantly, the app does not utilize third-party services apart from Apple Music, requiring an active paid subscription linked to the user's Apple ID. All data exchanges occur through official Apple Music APIs and documentation, ensuring privacy; no additional data is stored on external servers beyond what Apple provides through its secure APIs.
